Two weeks ago, nearly 600 runners tackled our race around Regent’s Park to find the fastest person in the legal sector.
We are delighted that the race has been featured extensively in the legal sector press, including Solicitors Journal, The Law Society Gazette, and Edward Fennell’s Legal Diary.
Our CEO Melissa Davis is mentioned in all three publications, saying that she “expressed gratitude for the legal community’s enthusiastic participation, aiming to make the event an annual tradition.”
Partner James Hayhurst, the race’s organiser, is also name checked in Solicitors Journal, as he “hailed the event’s success, envisioning its continuation as a cherished tradition in the legal community.”
In the Legal Diary, Melissa is quoted, saying:
“I am beyond thrilled to see such enthusiasm and participation from the legal community in our inaugural Legal 5k Run. It was truly inspiring to witness everyone come together to promote health and wellness while supporting Skylarks, a special charity close to our hearts. We look forward to seeing everyone next year [when] I am sure we will hit 1000 runners.”
Despite the poor weather, it was a fantastic event, filled with positivity and good vibes. The MC and warm-up wizard Peter Scott, a professional runner, got everyone in the mood and nicely stretched beforehand, and the lead runner, Robel Bahelbi of the Highgate Harriers, set the pace. We’d like to thank Ben Pochee of LGN Wellbeing, who coordinated the event.
Many congratulations to Slaughter and May who took home the trophy for the fastest team, with Farrer & Co in second place and Clyde & Co in third.
