MD Communications Legal 5k Run, powered by LGN Wellbeing

  • Regent's Park, London
5k race in regent's park

Join us on Thursday 25 April for our inaugural Legal 5k Run: a fun and friendly race in Regent’s Park to promote health and wellness in the sector – open to all levels.

There’s also a little added spice in the form of a team competition to find the fastest law firm and Chambers in the land, as well as prizes for the fastest individuals.

The race is open to everyone in the industry: anyone working at a law firm or chambers, in-house, legal suppliers and legal journalists.

The event is a chance to get together in the beautiful setting of one of London’s Royal Parks, release some endorphins and raise money for autism charities along the way. It promises to be a fun and relaxed evening, with an opportunity to connect with friends and colleagues (once you’ve burned them off around the Park paths that is…!)

There will be a guided warm-up beforehand to get everyone nicely stretched.

The race is hosted by MD Communications in partnership with LGN Wellbeing, a specialist company with a track record of providing corporate Run Club coaching and hosting industry sporting events.

How to register:

  • Online entries have now closed (if you still want to take part, please email LGN Wellbeing).
  • You can enter as a team of any size or as a solo representative.
  • If entering as a team, you need to nominate a team captain who will be the main point of contact and then specify how many team members you want to enter (as many as you want!). Once payment is made, you will receive a form to submit the names of your team members.
  • All entrants automatically qualify for the individual competition. To be in with a chance of the team trophy, a minimum of three men and three women per organisation is needed. But this is merely an additional competitive aspect and definitely not essential, so please don’t worry if you don’t meet this team requirement, the event is meant to be fun and we encourage everyone to join in.

If you have any questions about registration, please email LGN Wellbeing. Our FAQs are below.

FAQs

Once you know how many places your organisation would like to register, please use our online portal to enter the number of runners and pay (Visa and MasterCard accepted) or contact us if you’d like us to raise an invoice instead. Once you have paid you will receive a confirmation email and within it you can download a form to enter your team names and send to info@lgnwellbeing or feel free to email for a form if required.

You can enter as many or as few runners as you wish.

All runners will feature in our Legal 5k Run individual race results.

And if you have 3 men and 3 women from your organisation, your team will also feature in the Legal 5k team results.

In addition, if you have more than 3 men and 3 women the timing technology will automatically create your fastest team (no need to nominate who is in your scoring team) and in some cases for large company entries the technology will create multiple scoring teams (A team, B team etc).

However, the team element is merely an additional competitive aspect and definitely not essential, so please don’t worry if you don’t meet this team requirement, the event is meant to be fun and we encourage everyone to join in.

Yes, definitely. Although the entry form is geared towards team registration and we’d love you to join in with some of your colleagues, we very much welcome solo representatives! Just fill in your name and email (you will be your own team captain!).

If you have registered and paid for a number of runners already, no problem to add more. Just go back to the online portal and pay for more participants and add the team captain’s email as before.

Yes, all runners will receive a chip time which will be available online after the race.

Yes, all runners will receive a medal to commemorate their achievement and prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winning teams and individuals.
