Stephen spent more than 41 years at Freshfields, including 33 years as a partner, leading complex cross-border corporate transactions, M&A and international securities work across more than 50 countries. Alongside his legal practice, he held numerous leadership positions and played a pivotal role in developing Freshfields’ internationally recognised Stronger Together network, strengthening relationships with leading law firms across the world.

Widely respected for his international outlook and strategic insight, Stephen has spent his career helping law firms build successful global relationships, navigate international markets and develop sustainable cross-border growth strategies.
