Our CEO Melissa Davis and Head of International Linsay Leslie attended this year’s Women and Diversity in Law Awards, where we were shortlisted in two categories, joining legal leaders, changemakers and organisations from across the profession to celebrate progress in diversity, inclusion and social impact.
Hosted and supported by The Global Legal Post, the awards recognise outstanding women leaders, practitioners and organisations working to drive meaningful change within the legal sector. The event highlights initiatives focused on improving representation, creating opportunities for underrepresented groups and building a more inclusive profession for future generations.
The evening brought together an inspiring community of ambassadors for change from across the legal world, with conversations ranging from tackling modern slavery and widening access to the profession, to ensuring progress is driven by clear intent and consistent action.
Melissa and Linsay were delighted to attend alongside peers, clients and friends from across the industry, including representatives from Lewis Silkin, Brodies LLP and Haynes and Boone, while celebrating the achievements of shortlisted finalists and award winners. We were thrilled to have been shortlisted in two categories: Business Leader of the Year and Supplier of the Year (which we won in 2023).
One of the standout moments of the evening was seeing former Law Society President Lubna Shuja receive the Outstanding Achievement Award. Widely respected across the profession for her leadership and advocacy work, her speech offered a powerful reminder to “don’t give up, chase the dream and enjoy the view when you get there.”
Although MD Communications did not take home an award this year, the team was proud to be part of an event that champions inclusion, leadership and positive change across the legal profession.
Congratulations to all the finalists, winners and organisers involved in making the evening such a success.
