We are delighted that our new thought leadership report, Navigating Global Growth, has been featured in the media.

The Global Legal Post, Canadian Lawyer Magazine, Solicitors Journal and the IBA Daily News (the daily publication on the ground at the International Bar Association annual conference in Toronto) have all covered our latest think piece.

Described in the Global Legal Post as a “landmark report”, our research highlights “the growing global significance of independent law firms in cross-border legal work”. CEO Melissa Davis is quoted, emphasising what she saw as a shifting paradigm: “The firms we spoke to are redefining what global growth looks like. It’s no longer about scale or office count – it’s about trust, agility and the quality of relationships. The IBA community plays such a vital role in that, giving firms a platform to learn from each other and build the relationships that underpin real cross-border collaboration.”

Also quoted in the GLP article were Matt Cockburn, managing partner at leading Canadian independent firm Torys; Jonathan Kitchin, a partner at Michelmores; Laura Devine, managing partner of Laura Devine Immigration; David O’Donnell, partner at Mason Hayes & Curran; Alan Keep, managing partner at Bowmans, South Africa; Sadiq Jafar, managing partner of Hadef & Partners, UAE; IBA’s director of legal projects, Sarah Carnegie; and Jeff Davis, general counsel at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

Canadian Lawyer Magazine’s feature had a more regional focus, spotlighting Canadian Matt Cockburn: “Don’t underestimate the value of being a good, collaborative law firm that’s easy to work with — if people enjoy working with you and know you’re high quality, that really can contribute to a successful international strategy and profile without necessarily having to build a bunch of offices.”

Also quoted were David Kaufman, director of global strategies at the US firm Nixon Peabody and Sean Fogarty, managing partner at Atlanta and Washington, DC-based firm Arnall Golden Gregory.

Thank you to Ben Rigby for the GLP and IBA Daily News coverage.
